Overview

Syrelle, a product of Unapologetic Power, LLC, is not a healthcare provider and does not collect, store, or process Protected Health Information (“PHI”) as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”).

Our platform is designed to support emotional well-being in rehabilitation and healthcare environments without requiring the collection of medical data.

Key Points

• No PHI Collected — Patients are not asked to enter medical records or personal health data.

• No PHI Stored — All journaling features remain on the user’s device unless they choose to share voluntarily.

• Aggregate Data Only — Usage reports shared with clinics contain only non-identifiable, aggregate information (e.g., number of sessions started, features accessed).

• No BAA Required — Because Syrelle does not handle PHI, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is not required.

Why This Matters

This alignment allows Syrelle to provide emotional support tools within healthcare settings while keeping clinics fully compliant with HIPAA for their medical services. Clinics maintain responsibility for PHI, while Syrelle delivers wellness support outside the scope of HIPAA.
